Nowra Police, South Coast Police District.

A bit about Nowra Police

In midst of low income pensioners, ICE users and a population of heavy consumers of alcohol, the Nowra Police team do an amazing job. I know I couldn’t do the job that these frontline officers do everyday and to them, I say thank you for serving us, the community.

The outreaches

Nowra Police do a number of outreaches where they engage with the community. Coffee with a cop comes to mind and others that benefit the community.

A compassionate team

The team members that I have spoken to are compassionate, caring, kind and have a genuine heart for people and their circumstances.

Do you need police?

Don’t hesitate to pick up the phone if you need them. Its OK if it turns out to be nothing,… better to be safe than sorry.

As always, thanks for checking out the blog and ill see you next time.

Shane Bentley.

Living with Tourettes Syndrome

What its like living with Tourettes

Hello and welcome to another blog. This one is a heartfelt one and weighs heavy on my heart. So you ever feel a sneeze coming and can’t stop it coming out every time? Me too. This is what its like having Tourettes syndrome

What is Tourettes Syndrome?

Tourettes Syndrome is a psychological disorder which causes the neuron’s to fire at the wrong time which causes the brain to tell your body to do movements and sounds which can not be helped. Some people can suppress them, however if Tourettes is suppressed, the tics come back twice as bad for up too 24 hours.

How is Tourettes Syndrome treated?

Tourettes can be treated with medication and often, a strict diet containing little to no sugar. At times if its bad enough, deep brain stimulation can be helpful and give someone with bad Tourettes a new outlook on life.

The affects of having Tourettes Syndrome

Bullying, ridicule and avoidance of the person with Tourettes Syndromeare more than often happen to the majority of people with the condition. It’s hard,.. going through school for me was a nightmare. The teasing was enough to make me mentally unwell, the name calling and the ridicule was horrific. Nobody understood me, everyone had misconceptions of me and they just didn’t understand what was happening. I’d come home crying at times because I couldn’t even walk down the street to get milk without being starred at and made fun of.

Is there hope for you?

The short answer is YES! It gets better. As we leave our Teenage years and grow into an adult we may experience reduced the tics (this is not common for the majority) however I know that for me, some of my vocal tics reduced by my motor tics stayed the same. You gotta be strong.

Something for the parents to read

I recommend asking the school principle for a time out card where the child can take 10 minutes and do the tics in the play ground where no one else can hear or see and when they feel like its safe to come back into class, they can with no questions asked.

Top 4 things to do when your having a bad day

We all have days like today

We all have crap days. I suffer from clinical and chronic depression and have had it since I was 10. Its awful, it’s painful and its dangerous. But what can we do about it?

#1 Be consistent

Showering as much as possible, eating well and cleaning up for me are the hardest things that I do, but sometimes its absolutely imperative that we do these said things. I like to put it this way in my head: “I am the only one that’s going to be able to do this so its now or never.”

#2 Chin up... it is what it is

Times like these come to me almost every day. But we have to try to do something to distract ourselves and yes, sometimes all we are able to do is sit on the couch and do nothing (common occurrence at the Bentley household) Sometimes I can’t do anything and this includes eating. But pushing through is something that takes time. Setting an exact time and doing that one job is what I do and its works perfectly.

#3 Exercise and wellbeing

I personally haven’t gotten out of the house to exercise in months. I am in deep depression but at times I think about it and these moments of motivation are what we need to listen to and act upon. Even walking to the mail box and back 3 times is enough to start with. If you have mental health matters, try and apply for the NDIS (make sure you put in there that you have a psychosocial matter but only if its true)

#4 Keep in touch

Calling up a friend or loved one is something that I fail to do when going through hard times and I especially tend to push people away when they try to help me. Staying in contact can help them and help you to be connected and when someone else is involved we can feel safer and more protected rather than doing this on our own.

KFC Nowra – Fingerlicking Amazing

The food

KFC Nowra is and has always been well managed and popular. When it comes to the food, the drinks and the service, I can’t find a single fault. The service is always bang on, quick, (sometimes hard to hear the staff voices through the speaker) but all round helpful.

The service

Well, I don’t know this Colonel Sanders is but he sure did a thing by making his business in September 1952. From chicken wings to drumsticks and more and more, Mr Sanders thought of it all.

Fats food should only be a once a week thing (things mothers say) but the generation of now don’t muck around when it comes to ordering up a storm and then inhaling it (no, wait, its just me who inhales food)

You have the choice of like, I don’t know, maybe 40 boxes to choose from and the drinks are always chilling as well… the colder the better.

My personal review

I love KFC Nowra. The staff are always friendly, and very quick. The food is always nice and hot and you can see through the window that they take their time to make it good dinner done right.

So… don’t delay, head there today and get some finkerlicking goodness into you. Im telling you now, you won’t know yourself. Don’t drive and eat though…

That’s all for tonight folks, see you soon. Shane Bentley

Apple iPhone 13 – An honest review!

Let's talk about the variety

iPhone 13 comes in a wide range of models for all your needs, wants and fantasies. From the iPhone Mini, iPhone 13, the iPhone Pro to the iPhone Pro Max, there is a phone for you at a price that you can afford. In this article, I will be primarily talking about the iPhone 13 Mini and the iPhone 13 range.

iPhone's storage capacity

Have you ever ran out of storage on your home computer or desktop and wondered why you didn’t just get the bigger hard drive installed? I have and what I am about to tells you will blow your mind… The basic model comes with a standard 128GB and then you can choose to purchase a higher storage capacity from 256GB and a massive 512GB.

Size matters

The iPhone 13 Mini comes in at a teeny tiny weight of 140 grams or 4.94 ounces while the iPhone 13 comes in at around 173 grams or 6.10 ounces.

The display

Both the iPhone 13 Mini and the iPhone 13 have Super Retina XDR OLED display.

Both models:
  • HDR display
  • True Tone
  • Wide colour (P3)
  • Haptic Touch
  • 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio (typical)
  • 800 nits max brightness (typical); 1,200 nits max brightness (HDR)
  • Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating
  • Support for displaying multiple languages and characters simultaneously
This was copied and pasted from apple.com.au

They are even water resistant.

The IPhone Mini and the iPhone 13 are both IP68 and the maximum depth of water you should swim with it is no more than 30 metres.

The processor/ chip

The A15 Bionic Chip is awesome and makes the new iPhone 13 experience amazing and super fast.

The battery

The camera

Whilst I do run a business and need a decent camera, I don’t need one this good but it came with my phone so it is what it is (I’m not complaining)  HDR and 4K video formats are onboard,  and this phone also comes with nightmare and deep fusion.

iPhone 13 carriers in australia

Whilst I dont have all the information, I do know that Telstra and Optus carry the iPhone 13 range and can definitely be purchased through Telstra with a 36 month contract.

From 17 hours of video playback, audio playback for 55 hours, both batteries are awesome and include MagSafe capability as well as a USB C connector

My spin on the thing

The iPhone 13 is one of the greatest pieces of machinery that I have ever purchased. From IOS 15, to the long battery life, the speed and snappiness of it, I can’t recommend a better phone than the iPhone 13. Ive had the iPhone 13 for almost 6 months and absolutely love it.

If you need a better camera like if your a photographer or a videographer, you might be more suited to the pro model or up from there, but for me, I love it.

Virgin Australia

The boarding process

I recently went to the Gold Coast for a 4 day holiday. We flew with Virgin Australia and I was pleasantly surprised with the whole thing. There was one thing I thought that they could have done better, however I will get to that later.

Once we scanned into the terminal and checking in our bags and had our carry on luggage scanned, we had some McDonalds and then before we knew it, we had to head to the terminal and get ready for the flight.

Once it was our turn to board the plane, we had to have them scan our tickets and we were allowed onto the tarmac and top the stairs we went right onto the plane.

The Seating Arrangements

Once we boarded the plane, we found our seats and sat down. We had to get up again because someone else had purchased a ticket for the window seat. I needed to get a seatbelt extension and they brought me one very quickly. The crew were absolutely amazing.

The Takeoff and the Flight

Once we were all seated, they played the safety briefing audio and it was at that time that they checked all our seatbelts were on securely and made sure that all our luggage shelves were closed and then they checked to make sure that our on person bags were under our seats and secured.

The flight went amazing. The flight crew were amazing during the whole flight. They bought out the tea and coffee cart and the tea and coffee were free as well as the water however the other drinks could be purchased if that’s what we wanted. I just had coffee… can’t beast coffee right!?

The Landing and the checkout

We landed (very safe and comfortable landing) we got off the plane, picked up our bags and went through the terminal out to the car, it was awesome. Everyone was friendly, happy and ever so eager to help.

There was very little walking to be done, the conveyer belt was running perfectly and it was all a smooth and amazing experience. I guess it helps to be with an experienced flyer as my friend was.

My Only Constructive Criticism

I am not one to complain online about anything, however there is one thing that Virgin Australia could work on and people possibly say this about every airline, but I would say this: the seats were very uncomfortable, and there was not much room to move. I sat next to my friend and our legs and arms were touching the whole time. Im all about bromance, however this was a little sketchy even for me.

Logitecs MX ERGO Mouse

Ive had this mouse from last night and wow… unbelievable. Once I opened there box, set it up and had a little play, I was amazed at it. It was like Christmas Day all over again for me and In love it. I purchased this item at Officeworks. I was after a heavy mouse and that’s exactly what I got.

The Logitechs MX ERGO mouse is by far (at first glance) one of the weirdest looking mouse I’ve seen apart from the MADCATS series and yes, I admit that this was one of the reasons I went for it. Weird is good right!!! But as weird as it is, I actually like the way it looks and feels in my hand and the buttons are very easy to use and I love the way that it all works nicely with the alien looking shape.

As far as being comfortable to use, that’s a job well done by Logitech and I can honestly say, its amazing. Feel good in my hand, works without any drama. The ball took alittle to get used to, however I am happy with it as I learnt it fast. The buttons are in a great position as well as the ball.

Connectivity is something that isn’t as good as it could be. I can’t get it to hook via bluetooth on my Mac without the adapter, but once I plugged it in and set it up using the software, I am happy that. Flawless every time. Gotta love Logitech.

Get yours ordered today!

Thanks for your time, Shane Bentley.

Sneaky Burger Nowra

The loaded fries

I’ve had McDonald’s loaded fries and i thought they were amazing, but then i tried Sneaky Burgers loaded fries and wow, i saw stars and fireworks and stuff… absolutely incredible. Im addicted to the jalapeño covered cheese, mince and fries.

The convenience of delivery

MenuLog and Doordash are amazing, however as a MenuLog virgin, i cant speak about the service, however as far as doordash go, im always impressed by the fast and friendly service that they provide.

Enjoy your next meal with free delivery

According to an add on Google, your first delivery at Sneaky Burger is free when you use doordash. Get started here.

Until next time, have a great evening and i’ll see you soon. Shane Bentley.

Getting the most out of your new computer

So you have purchased a new computer!

Awesome, you have just bought yourself a brand new computer. Here are 3 steps to getting the most out of your computer. These steps will slow down the chance of getting hacked, getting a virus and also give you the latest bug fixes and performance updates.

1) Get windows 11 update.

Windows packs a huge punch when it comes to performance updates, stability and more importantly, security. Its not every day that you get to upgrade not your OS to the latest for free and I highly recomend it to anyone whom its available too.

2) Download a trial of Microsoft Office.

At some point in life, we have to bite the bullet and purchase a subscription of Microsoft Office. Microsoft makes it easy with their subscription and different levels that suits your needs or wants. I am selling it here at a discounted rate and its not a subscription. I will send you the key within 24 to 48 hours.

Anti-Virus and Malware prevention.

I cant stress this enough! You NEED an anti virus program that will block the bad stuff and keep your computer healthy, fast and happy. Download SUPERAntiSpyware (a trial) and after 1 month, purchase the full version or you can get it through me here.

Once again, thank you for visiting my blog and I look forward to seeing you soon.

5 things that inspire me!

What inspires me to live on?

Life can be tough. We all have our own story and often it’s our story that defines who we become. Often in life, we face challenges or difficulties but when we get through them and triumph over them, we come to an understanding that yes, its’ a roller coaster of a ride but we can get through it and I can be a good influence to others as well.

Things to do in the midst of trial or tribulation

  • Put some meditation on
  • Distract yourself
  • See the doctor regularly
  • Keep up with self-care
  • Eat healthy food
  • Write a poem or a short story
  • Colour in
  • Listen to music
  • Have a mental health day
  • Phone a friend of loves one

I trust this blog will help you feel better about yourself. I know it’s tough and I go through it. Keep your head up. – Shane Bentley

G Flip – Singer, Songwriter.

G Flip. Her albums just keep getting steamier and steamier

About G Flip

G Flip aged 27 is an Australian Singer & Songwriter from Melbourne. While I love her music, I think that she is strong for conquering her fears and outing herself as being Gay. G Flip and her partner spent 2017 in their room recording music and lyrics.

She's Courageous & Fearless

From the point of view as a fan and a listener, I feel that G Flip has done amazing with herself. It takes a lot of will power to start out as a musician and a lot of vision to see the potential in which G Flip and her partner have created for themselves. I say “here, here” to G Flip and her partner and wish them all the best on there endeavours. G Flip has recently released Scream which is an amazing song. Check it out here.

Wishing you all the best from now and into the future, Shane Bentley.

Telstra – The good and the best

Telstra is by far the best phone and ISP carrier I have ever used. I have been with a few different carriers over the past 10 to 15 years and Telstra kicks the goal of awesomeness every single time.

From NBN connections to the latest mobile phones and even some gaming equipment, Telstra does it all.

I feel that while Telstra charges somewhat more than other carriers, as their consumers, we get good bang for our buck including customer service which is amazing, great offers and a plan or product that’s out of this world and also can vary one our budget and needs.

Telstra Plus and my experiance

Telstra Plus is simply amazing. For every dollar you spend on your Telstra account, you get back 1 point per every dollar and it can be redeemed once you get enough points for the item you want.

I have recently received a new wireless keyboard and mouse and more through Telstra Plus and I recommend it to everybody. StarTrack deliver to your door and its simply awesome to know that Telstra (a HUGE company) are giving back to the Telstra community.

Gift Ideas…

So, it’s your mother’s birthday and you have no idea what to buy her. She has most things and you really don’t want to buy her chocolate like other years, what do you do?

You’ve got two options… the first being the same Cadbury white chocolate that you normally do or maybe you wanted to go in the direction of a gift card.

Whichever direction you follow, just know that your gift will be appreciated and cherished.

I remember when I was a kid at school. Mum donated back an old bottle of perfume that we bought for her in a school fate she only wore once because it smelt terrible but she told us that she loved it.

Well, I saw the bottle and thought “mum loves it so I will buy the same one again” and we did and it turned out to be the same bottle.

That’s all for today folks… ill write you again soon.

Those Neighbours Though!

I have something to share. Noisy neighbors are a thing apparently…

For the past 4.5 years, I have been a victim of emotional, verbal, physical, and mental abuse. It’s been an ongoing disaster and I would like to detail some of it to help you if you’re going through something similar.

From mental, emotional, verbal, and physical abuse and also stalking, harassing, and intimidation, I have had it all.

As I work from home, they yell out things when customers, deliveries, and people come to my house and call out derogatory comments just so people will turn around.

People hassle me everywhere I go… the shops, the doctors, etc… They call themselves private investigators and use the “power” to get receipts, information, and more.

They antagonize me to the point where I break and yell back at them and then wonder why I get so emotional. They do it as they want to get me kicked out because I have disabilities.

This is discrimination, organized crime, deformation, persecution (being a Christian) is downright illegal and unethical.

3 tips of help that I am putting into motion to deal with these pesky people

  1. Get AVPOs on all of them.
  2. Take recordings constantly of what happens and log as much as you can and in as much detail as you can incase you need to go to court.
  3. Try and find time to calm down your thoughts and emotiomns and regain composure.

I do hope this helps you all a lot and makes you get the help you need.

Buying Online or Supporting Local Business

OK, so we have endless options on where to buy such as eBay, Amazon, and Wish, but how much of our dollar value are we spending in the businesses in our local towns?

eBay and Amazon do well when we buy from them and so does the supplier who is selling it but this hurts local businesses.

I am extremely fortunate that in computer repairs, my job can be online and offline, but selling online on apps like eBay and Amazon stops local businesses from doing business because it’s all delivered to our door.

I know the convenience of having things shipped to your door is great, but let’s put our money where our heart is and support the locals.

Until next time… Have a good one.

3 tips for Trauma and Coping.

Trigger warning: this post may upset some viewers…

We have all no doubt been through some sort of trauma or hurt in our lives. It sucks, it hurts, we cry, we smile and we try to forget about it.

Maybe someone at school hurt you or maybe your neighbors are being rude, aggressive, and hurtful constantly for 3.5 years…

It all hurts and nothing will ever make us forget about it.

For me, suicide seems like a probable option most of the time, however, it doesn’t have to be this way and I have 3 tips to help us feel a bit better about ourselves.

  1. Get help from a councillor or psychogist.
  2. Self affiormations: “I believe in myself”…
  3. Have a healthy diet.

I have been through so much heartache in my life from bullying to annoying antagonist neighbors and more… It only gets better when we do as much as we can to get the help we need when we know we are ready and need it.

I hope these tips have helped you or will help you along your journey.

My thoughts on DoorDash

Well, another day another blog… Door dash in my opinion is one of the best franchises that I have ever seen in my life.

People don’t want to have to get in the car and Woolworths and get that 2 Litre milk or the new new flavoured coke (vanilla is amazing) and now they don’t have too. Someone saw a niche and went with it. Way to go Mr Dash.

From tampons and pads to subway and KFC, you name it, they can get it and they drop it off for a small fee or if you have the dash pass, most of the time delivery is free on certain restaurants.

It’s great for people with a disability who can’t get out all the time to get the milk or for the aged who simply sometimes can’t get out of bed but want Subway for lunch. It really is remarkable.

Head to the App Store and download Door Dash.

Ps: thanks to subway stocklands Nowra for the amazing subs I purchase. Amazing job guys, seriously.

Door Dash also offer gift cards for those hard to buy for people and feel free to click on this link for the promo below.

The drivers that deliver my orders are always friendly and great to have a chat with (just a quick one as they have other ordered to attend too)

There would be at least 20 Door Dash drivers in Nowra and their jobs were created by for Door Dash. How amazing is that! Not only is it a convenience to people, it also offers jobs for people.

Please check out my site and follow me on social media.

It’s been a while… let’s catch up.

Firstly, I’d like to say happy new year to all and I trust that you all had something good happen over the holidays even if it’s just a one time thing.

Here are some things I have been busy implementing into my business.

SQUARE POS: I was running my business using just MYOB to take payments, however this meant that I wasn’t getting cash fast and had to rely on my clients to make the transaction and so I now do it using a SQUARE terminal which means quick cash and faster check I. And check outs. I also have a pay bill now button on the website for those occasions where a client might need a new hard drive and when they pay, I purchase it which also means more secure for me so that I don’t get stuck with an unwanted item if my customer changes their mind.

I have also became a Shoalhaven Business Chamber partner which I believe is a positive step forward.

Paper free: apart from the final invoices and associated documents, you won’t see much paper around as I am trying to stay green

Have a great week and until next time, stay true to who you are.

Apple Music. It’s what I like.

Apple Music is by far in my own personal opinion, the best music app that I have ever used.

From the large library of music that can be found to the price in comparison and even the ease of use, I would highly recommend it to anyone… even to my enemies.

Get 3 months of apple music for free.

Until next time, have a good one!

Why your workplace might need a defibrillator.

So you are in the lunchroom sitting with your coworkers and someone falls to the ground clutching their chest. You know the person may have had a heart attack and you check for a pulse and they are gone What do you do?

Now, I’m, not a doctor or a nurse and have 0% experience in the medical field, however, I know that a defib may save this person’s life.

Is your workplace equipped with a defibrillator? If not, it might be time to consider if this scenario could happen in your workplace.

Until next time, have a good one… Shane Bentley.

FixMeStick Virus Removal Tool

Viruses and malware…. oh what a huge deal… They slow down your computer, can potentially steal your passwords to banks and other sites leaving you open for hacking, fraud and more and what a huge drama it is to try and get rid of them…

Oh hang on, wait a minute… have you heard of FixMeStick?

The most amazing antivirus tool known to man?

For work, I use the pro version, but some of you out there will only need a home version.

Why not purchase the FixMeStick for home users and see what’s really on your machine?

Until next time, Have a glorious weekend or week and day.

October – November Newsletter 2021

Welcome to the first official On Point Computer Repairs newsletter.

Id like to talk about 2 things tech wise in this newsletter and i’d also like to talk a bit about my business in the last part of the newsletter.

WINDOWS 11

Soon enough, there will be a free update for most users called “Windows 11”

Windiows 11 has all new desktop backgrounds, a huge performance hit and also some security fixes and updates to help keep you safer online.

I use it personally on my windows computer and love it. However there will, as with every new OS and even the older versions, bugs and what not.

I reccomend holding off for another 1 to 2 months just to give mircosoft a chance to squash the said bugs and optimise it some more before updating.

AntiVirus and Malware Protection

So the common debate is this… is Microsoft’s in built Windows defender enough or do I need a paid product to help keep me safe online?

The truth is, Micorofts built-in anti virus security is good, there is no doubt about that, however, I do personally recomend ESET to people because there have been times where I have clicked on something that looked legit, however ESET blocked it and saved my bacon.

Personally, id reccomend on using both together, however using both can give negative consequences in which you are not covered completely.

A bit about my business

On Point Computer Repairs is growing and I now offer pickup and delivery for an extra $10 cash in hand upon pickup, there are monthly deals taking place, see here for the current one set for October and November.

Review – HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dh0xxx

From the moment I laid my hand on my laptop 2 years ago, I knew we had something special between us.

The HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dh0xxx is one of the best laptops I have ever owned.

I have spent hours and hours using it without a hitch, not even a glitch as its always got the “out of the box” experience.

This machine came with 8GB of RAM, a 256GB HD and a touch screen which puts the icing on the cake.

I wanted something for my work and personal use, however I am now using it to power my IT business and I can honestly say that it has been yet to disappoint me.

I have nothing bad to report and I can honestly say that I am super impressed!

See my review of HPs customer service here:.

COVID-19 Restrictions 2021.

COVID-19 is a horrible thing in society today. It’s killing millions worldwide, leaving people with grief after loved ones pass, and is destroying jobs and people’s lives.

Homelessness due to COVID0-19 is at stake with adults and children at risk, no money for food on the table and people having to beg, borrow and steal just to make ends meet.

It’s a horrible thing and thankfully I have not personally been affected but my business is lacking a little with people having no money to purchase my services and now with the restrictions in place, any unessential services/ businesses are now ceased to operate due to the restrictions.

I guess all we can do is take advantage of the home delivery services such as woolies or coles groceries delivery, oh and let’s not forget about dominos delivery as well.

Let’s obey the restrictions and be the best citizen out there in this time of uncertainty.

Remember, it’s not just about them, it is also about us.

HUGO, the Cat who thinks he’s a human.

In my unit, lives me and Hugo, my black cat. He’s such a good companion, he wakes me up early and goes to bed sometime after me.,

He’s cuddly, warm on those cold winters days and he is always there for me.

Food: I buy chicken mince, dry cat biscuits and give him fresh water daily.

He seems to like his diet but when he wants more mince, I know he wants it because he lets me know by meowing and associated behaviours.

Bedding: He has a pet bed and always lays on the couch to have a nap.

Toiletries: He uses any cat litter and I normally buy what’s on special. At the moment he’s using pellets and a litter tray liner. I also have some litre deodoriser that helps keep the urine and faeces smell away.

He’s desexed and regularly goes to the vet for his wormer and nail trim and I personally put on his revolution plus monthly.

It’s time to make a change! – #Spiritual

If you ever think that life is what is what it is right now in the present, think again.

Life always throws us a curve ball and this is not to make you feel bad, but to build your resilience and learn to trust God more than trusting ourselves.

Building others up by encouraging them rather than bringing them down will not only help them to see their true potential, but it will help you as well.

We all say, do and act differently at times when things get tough for us, but lets remember that Jesus said “in your anger, do not sin” – Ephesians 4:29.

Lets love others, stay strong and founded in the word but more importantly in Jesus and love ourselves and others with all our hearts.

In all you do today, be blessed. – Shane Bentley.

Boundaries and Limits

In life, we need to set limits on what we do. We need to have both personal and professional boundaries. Its actually very important that we establish and apply these (rules of life) everywhere we go.

Sometimes I find it really hard as a tech to seperate myself from my work. I have even spent hours at night trying to finish all the dreaded windows updates just so that I can meet my goal of a 24 – 48 hour turnaround.

Do you have personal goals that you manipulate your work life around to meet them?

It’s time to focus on you because someone can replace you (your role) in a workplace within a week but they can’t replace you.

Four questions to help get you started:

  1. Is work driving how you live at home?
  2. Is work always on your mind even outside of the work place=?
  3. Do you eat fast food just so that you can get back to work?
  4. Do you pull your laptop out at home to check on things and get trapped into doing more work even if your not getting paid for it?

Set yourself some SMART goals

Until tomorrow, have a great day and I’ll chat soon.

Sensory Relaxation

Have you ever felt flustered or drained? Have you ever wanted to relax but cant?

Sometimes we need to take a step back, relax and unwind.

I need to unwind all the time and I have sensory items that help me to be calmer.

It’s not only fun to use sensory items, but its very calming and therapeutic.

Sometimes I turn all the lights off and just use one of my sensory items and its always a blast of a time.

Check out my video.

Head online and buy some sensory items and I guarantee that life will be easier to manage once you quieten and calm your mind.

I am saving up for a light projector that points to my ceiling and puts stars on there with colours of all kinds.

Windows Updates: 2 Tips

We all love sitting down and turning the computer on when 34 updates go through and the wait is on… I’m just kidding!

But seriously, its a real mood downer and I am here to tell you how to get around those annoying pesky update screens.

Tip one: Leave your computer on and enable “restart this PC as soon as possible….” in the windows update advanced screen.

However make sure you save your documents and such as it may (I’m just covering me) restart your computer while your in bed waiting for the alarm clock to go to UNI and you lose your document. You can also enable auto save in Microsoft Office but you need to save the file to your computer first otherwise it wont save your work.

Tip 2: Pause updates and then once you are ready to do them, just check for updates and let them go through.

However: it can be a security risk to not let the updates come in when they need to so do this at your own risk.

Companion Animals.

Companion animals:

Birds, fish, cats and dogs are all amazing creatures. From companionship to unconditional love which we all deserve, pets really are a mans best friend.

From giving treats and meat to maintain a healthy diet, and cuddles as well as grooming and clipping nails, what more can a man or women want!

Am I ready for a pet?

The answer is maybe.

Finding a companion animal is easy, you go to the shelter, pick one out and bring him/ her home.

But, do you have the right food, the washing equipment, the treats and toys?

There is another factor here also regarding your presence at home with the animal you chose and promised in your heart to love and to play with until he/ she dies… and thats do you plan to stay home as long as you can (obviously work, family and night life excluded) as pets need to feel close and sometimes they will get anxious and stressed which can be called separation anxiety.

Lets do our thing and make everyone feel loved including our loved pets as well as our EH Holden and our Harley Davidson motor bike

If you have trouble waking up and getting out of bed, a cat is amazing because he/ she will wake you up at dawn meeoowww.

There is mess, there is crying when your cat nocks over a years old family canister, but there is a lot of loving, attention and good times to be had with your new pet.

Until next time, have a great week, be blessed,

Shane Bentley.

Domino’s Cheesy Crust Pizza

Dominos Cheesy Crust Pizza Base.

I’ve been ordering Dominos Pizza for over 6 years every 2 weeks and I have nothing but good reviews and I have even raved about the amazing quality on Facebook.

The food chain Dominos have been delivering quality products to people for years and years and the fact is, they really are the fast food giants of Pizza.

From frozen thick shakes, choc lava shakes and sundaes, they don’t just stop there, they even brought out a pizza dessert and it was amazing. (bring it back!!)

Now, for the headline product, cheesy crust.

Wow, Dominos cheesy crust is absolutely amazing, fresh, cheesy and in my personal opinion, one of the best bases they ever bought out.

I get mine from Bomaderry Dominos who are fast, professional and reliable.

Dominos is easily the best fast food option for me as they deliver and also you can purchase what you want online and pay using card, PayPal and Apple Pay.

COVID19 – A Self Help Guide

A self guide to get you through the hard times.

COVID19 is a horrible pandemic that sees many people infected and/ or possibly dying due to lack of knowledge and understanding.

At times, many people don’t realize they have COVID19 until they develop symptoms and the 14 day isolation is what people must do when they realize they have the illness.

Below is a few things you can do during the lockdown period that can be used if you have COVID19 or if you are isolating if you have been near a hot or in mandatory lockdown.

10 things to do during a COVID19 lockdown or isolation.

  • Do a house tidy-up.
  • Have a cup of coffee in the sunny spot in your house.
  • Clean the kids toy room.
  • Bake a cake (get the ingredient’s from a woolies delivery) as its contactless but it costs around $15.
  • Do some coloring in in an adult coloring book.
  • Have a chat to a friend on the phone and just relax.
  • Tidy up your computer by arranging the files into folders.
  • Go on YouTube and listen to some relaxation music or ocean waves.
  • Try to learn a new language using the Babble app.
  • Do a budget and work out where you can save more for your next holiday.

Sometimes having a “me” day is so important. Why not use the 14 days off everything a “me” day and learn to love yourself again.

Until next time, have a good weekend and ill talk soon, Shane Bentley.

Secure Passwords 2FA

Hackers: The internets best friend.

This is just a small concept and not all information about hackers and what they do is included.

You ever lay down at night to rest/ sleep and you get an email from your favorite website saying “the password you use on this site has been changed” and your like “well thats weird?”

This could have been a hacker changing your password and potentially reading your messages, emails, and other sensitive information.

Once a hacker has a password that you use frequently, they can get into many websites and such and this is not a good pattern to get

So… what can you do?

To help limit access by hackers, use 2FA or 2 factor authentication and set it each website that supports 2FA to send a code to your phone or email address. These settings can normally be found in the security settings of the website.

I tried to keep it short, comment if you have any questions.

Spotify vs Apple Music

Rock n Roll, jazz, acoustic, and sceamo to name a few are some peoples favorite flavors of mjusic, and all we need to do when our favorite band drops an album is buy it… right?

Wrong!!! Have you heard of Apple Music and/ or Spotify? Both apps have most of the music the other does but sometimes not the exact same content due to licensing!

Apple music:

Free trial of apple music 3 months.

At a cost, its the best app I have ever used for music.

I like that with Telstra, I don’t use data streaming music when on the mobile network.

I like that its fast, reliable and has some of the best features out to date.

Spotify:

Spotify has a free version unlike Apple Music however you get a ton of adds after an hour or less at times.

Its robust, easy to use and free and Spotify often has opportunities to get 3 months for 99c.

I personally like Apple Music better, however each to their own,.

Until next time, have a good weekend, we may speak tomorrow… Shane Bentley.

Online Scams and Fraud!

Dating Scams:

So, you found Ms or Mr Right? Well done, im happy for you!

But, how do you know who your dream girl or guy really is? Is she/ he after your money or is she/ he after a VISA?

Here is one tip to find out if the person is who she/ he says they are or who she/ he isn’t.

Reverse Image Search: Here is a link to a website where you can upload a picture that your dream girl/ guy sends you and you can see where the picture is posted (all public arenas such as facebook, twitter, google, just to name a few.

She/ he may be after some money (normally your whole life savings over the space of 2 to 3 years) She/ he may ask for a low amount at first to gauge your reaction… then she/ he may get more and more demanding and ask for a little bit more next time. See, scammers don’t care how long it takes, if they milk you for a few dollars at first, thats a sign that you have more. They will keep going and going until you read this and realize what’s happening.

Information & Identity Theft:

Have you ever seen on Facebook, “Like if this is your favourite colour” or something similar that seams sinister? They are sometimes (not all posts on Facebook are trying to get information) some are genuine and this is why we should never ever have our year of birth public, nor our middle name, nor our address or our phone number. Scammers if they get hold of some information can do what’s called profiling and gather enough information to steal your identity.

Check out these options if you think you may have said to much on Facebook or online.

Scam emails:

“A handsome Nigerian Prince awaits, send money now to pay for the money transfer” – RED FLAG!

“Tax refund, click here to see your tax return” (with an email address from the sendee that goes to an AOL account… hmm, seems legit (im being sarcastic)If you click on this link, you will probably get a virus.

Both these examples are almost replicas to the emails I receive… I even get unneeded ones like links to viagra….

Remember to stay vigilant, check the sender’s email to see if it traces back to the company or an unknown domain.

This is only a taste of what happens on the internet. I suggest looking at on google and see what its like on the internet for lonely men and women, and also for the vulnerable.

I don’t know everything about it, but this is only my understanding.

Stay well and as always, if it looks to good to be true, it probably is.

Devanti Air Fryer

The Devanti Air Fryer 7L LCD Fryers Kitchen Oven Air fryer Oil Free Healthy Cooker is one of the most amazing inventions known to man… in my opinion.

With fully adjustable temperature and timer settings and with a simple yet easy to use design, the air fryer is one of the best purchases I have ever made.

I received my air fryer 2 days after purchasing it online from mydeal.com.au and after ripping the packaging apart in a fit of enthusiasm, I threw some chicken nuggets and potato gems in the tray and off it went one simple press of a button.

The air fryer comes in two different sizes, both black and stainless and the black suits darker bench tops however if you had a stainless steel fridge, i;d probably get the stainless one.

Get your Air Fryer today for $119.95 (the price has gone up and it might again) so hurry and buy buy buy!

The design of this beautiful piece of machinery is spectacular.
